Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices fall back

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Jan 18 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min hold at RMB165,000-170,000/t (USD11.87-12.23/lb V) EXW D/P, down by RMB5,000/t (USD0.36/lb V) from last week. Market participants expect that prices for ammonium metavanadate would show weakly stable trend in the coming week.
A producer in North China said, “Now almost no one shows any interest in ammonium metavanadate and all consumers are watching the market. Due to much uncertainty in the market, we dare not to purchase raw materials rashly now.” At present, the company can accept the lowest price of RMB170,000/t (USD12.23/lb V) EXW D/P for ammonium metavanadate 98%min and mainly sell existing stocks, refusing large orders for the moment.
