Chinese vanadium nitride price increase slightly

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Dec 17 – Current mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium nitride stand in a range of RMB207,000-210,000/t EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB5000/t from last week. Supported by strong demand of downstream industry, industry insiders predicted that Chinese vanadium nitride price would keep firm at current level in the coming week.
A producer from North China stated that this week they sold 30t of vanadium nitride at RMB210,000/t EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB5000/t from last week they sold 30t of the material at RMB210,000/t EXW D/A 180 days. “Steel mills demand for the material shows strong, so we increased the price,” said the source, adding that they thought in the coming week the price would stay firm.
The producer, with the production capacity of 1,800tpy for vanadium nitride, plans to produce 150t in December, in line with November. They hold around 50t in stock at present.
