Date: Feb 6, 2018

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Feb 18 – Currently, Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy consumers just purchase from hand to mouth with quiet market transactions. Mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy stabilize at RMB280,000-283,000/t (USD57.86-58.48/kg V) EXW D/P, down by RMB2,000/t (USD0.41/kg V) from last week.  Producers generally mainly deliver previous orders with operating in low inventory, and have great difficulties in purchasing spot materials.  Market participants expect that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy would keep stable in the coming week.

A producer in South China said, “Our orders for vanadium-nitrogen alloy have been arranged till late February and we will enter into Spring Festival holiday status this week, being in no hurry to accept new orders for the moment. As prices for raw material vanadium pentoxide keep stable, I believe that prices for vanadium-nitrogen alloy would be mainly stable after Spring Festivel.” They offer RMB280,000/t (USD57.86/kg V) EXW D/P nows, refusing orders at prices below the lowest price.
