Largo reaps benefits of higher vanadium prices in Q3

Brazil-focused vanadium producer Largo Resources’ net income swung to positive in the third quarter of 2017 at C$13.5 million ($10.6 million), compared with a loss of C$24.7 million a year earlier.

The company benefitted from improved production at its flagship Maracás Menchen mine and higher vanadium prices in the quarter, the company said on Monday November 6. The company set a new quarterly V205 production record of 2,513 tonnes in the July-September period, including record monthly output of 888 tonnes in August.
