The latest news: Shandong Guangfu Group Co., Ltd. has completely stopped production from July 19, and the resumption time is to be determined. It involves two blast furnaces of 450 m³, three of 750 m³, one 60-ton converter, two 80-ton converters, one 50-ton electric furnace, and one 100-ton electric furnace. It involves an iron-making capacity of 3.5 million tons/year and a steel-making capacity of 3.96 million tons/year. It involves 3 bar production lines, one strip steel production line, and one general high line.
Affected by the decline in industry profits, Jiangsu Binxin Iron and Steel with a scale of 6 million tons recently took the initiative to control production (some employees are on holiday). Currently, the three blast furnaces in the factory are in normal production, and the overall molten iron production has declined. Recently, a new bar line has been added for maintenance. At present, one bar line and two coils are in normal production in the factory, and the average daily output of construction steel has dropped to a level of about 11,000 tons.
Yunnan Desheng added a new blast furnace for overhaul on July 19, leaving only one 450-cubic-meter blast furnace for production. So far, 10 blast furnaces have been shut down for maintenance in Yunnan Province.
Up to now, except for XXZG, the sample blast furnace plants in Anhui Province have maintained normal production, and the rest have reduced and stopped production to varying degrees. There are currently a total of 7 blast furnaces under inspection.
In Shanxi Province, a total of 15 blast furnaces have been shut down for maintenance, with a maintenance volume of 11,880 m³, and the daily capacity utilization rate has dropped to 72.4%.
Shanxi Gaoyi Iron and Steel started to overhaul a 1380m3 blast furnace on July 18, which affects 4,000 tons of molten iron per day. The estimated maintenance time is 30 days. At the same time, a strip steel production line is simultaneously overhauled, which affects the daily average output of about 6,000 tons.
According to incomplete statistics, another 28 steel companies have started to stop production for maintenance, and the longest maintenance time is as long as 80 days, affecting the output of 300,000 tons.
Inner Mongolia
Baotou Steel’s No. 1 blast furnace has been shut down for maintenance since July 8, with a volume of 2,200 m³, and the resumption time is to be determined, affecting about 5,000 tons of molten iron per day.
Tianjin
Starting from July 16, the two 750m³ blast furnaces in Tianjin Iron Works have been shut down for maintenance.
Hebei Province
Shougang Qian’an Iron and Steel plans to start the 4000m³ blast furnace shutdown and maintenance from the beginning of July for about 10-20 days, and the average daily output of molten iron will be about 8,000 tons. The planned maintenance of the 1580mm hot rolling production line began in late July, affecting an average daily output of about 10,000 tons.
Tangshan Ruifeng Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. carried out routine maintenance on the 2100m³ blast furnace on July 3, with a maintenance period of 10-15 days. During the same period, the 1580mm hot coil rolling line was maintained at the same time, affecting the average daily hot coil output of 7,500 tons.
Shanxi Province
A 1860m³ blast furnace of Shanxi Jinnan Iron and Steel has been shut down for maintenance since July 4th, and the date of resumption of production is to be determined, which will affect the average daily output of molten iron of 4,300 tons.
Shanxi Jingang shut down a 1250m³ blast furnace for maintenance on the evening of July 9, affecting about 3,500 tons of molten iron per day. Due to blast furnace overhaul, under the influence of gas and billet shortages, the construction steel rolling line stopped production at Sanluo Line, affecting about 12,000 tons of material per day.
Shanxi Zhongsheng simmered a 1380m³ blast furnace on July 6 for 15 days, affecting about 4,000 tons of molten iron per day. Due to the impact of blast furnace maintenance, the first-line production line of Yiluo was shut down for maintenance, and the daily output of materials was about 4,500 tons.
Shanxi Jianlong plans to suspend production and maintenance of a 630-cubic blast furnace in the past two days.
Shandong Province
The Laiwu Branch of Shandong Iron and Steel Group started to overhaul a 1880m³ blast furnace on July 11, and the overhaul was initially planned for 40 days, which is expected to affect the output of 5,500 tons per day.
Shandong Luli plans to suspend production and maintenance of round steel production lines (rolling 1 and rolling 2 production lines) in the near future. It is expected to stop production for 1 month, affecting about 180,000 tons of round steel production of 25-140mm.
Laigang Special Steel plans to overhaul the big bar line for 20 days from July 20 to August 10, affecting about 30,000 tons of 120-310mm output.
The production of Xiwang Special Steel bars began to stop on July 10, affecting the output of Φ130-350mm by 2,500 tons per day, and the resumption time is to be determined.
Henan Province
Henan Yaxin stoked a 630m³ blast furnace on July 6, and the production resumption time is yet to be determined, which will affect the daily output of molten iron by about 20,000 tons. In addition, the two coil rolling lines were also shut down for maintenance, and the daily impact on the finished product volume was about 3,000 tons.
Sichuan Province
Weigang (vanadium-titanium technology) plans to overhaul two small blast furnaces from July 2 to July 27, 2022, which will affect the average daily production of molten iron of about 4,500 tons, and the total amount of molten iron will be affected by about 117,000 tons.
Anhui Province
Maanshan Iron and Steel plans to overhaul a 1000m³ blast furnace on July 3. The planned overhaul period is about one month, affecting the production of molten iron of about 81,000 tons.
Lu’an Iron and Steel plans to start overhauling a 1780m³ blast furnace and a 150T converter on July 5. At the same time, all rolling lines will be overhauled in turn. It is estimated that the overhaul time will be 15 days, and the average daily output will be affected by about 5,000 tons.
Anhui Changjiang Iron and Steel plans to start the synchronous maintenance of the 3# blast furnace and other supporting production lines on July 6. The maintenance is expected to take 80 days, and the maintenance will affect the output of about 300,000 tons.
Tongling Xuanli Special Steel Co., Ltd. plans to start the simultaneous maintenance of a 1080m³ blast furnace and other supporting converters and production lines on July 20. The estimated maintenance time is 30 days, and the maintenance will affect the output of about 160,000 tons.
Jiangsu Province
Changqiang Iron & Steel plans to overhaul a premium bar rolling line from July 25. For a period of 15 days, it is expected to affect the output of 50-130mm bars of 45,000 tons.
Jiangyin Huaxi Iron and Steel Workshop 2# blast furnace is scheduled to be shut down for maintenance on July 18 and is expected to return to normal by the end of September. During the maintenance period, single furnace and single machine production will be implemented, which is expected to affect the monthly output of 25,000-30,000 tons.
Jiangxi Province
Jiangxi Jiujiang Steel Plant’s 3#1780m³ blast furnace is scheduled to be shut down for maintenance from July 25th for about 30 days. It is expected to affect the production of molten iron by about 150,000 tons.
