China Formally Starts Imposing Additional Tariffs on Some U.S. Goods From June 1st

According to Announcement No.3 of 2019 released by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council, China has started imposing additional tariffs on some goods from the U.S. since 1 June.

Based on the announcement, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council imposes additional tariffs of 25%, 20% and 10% on some U.S. goods in the list of commodities worth about USD60 billion. For tax items that were imposed an additional tariff of 5%, the Customs Tariff Commission still adopts the same tariff.
