China, U.S. trade talks end

On 14-15 February, Liu He, member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, Vice Premier and chief representative of Sino-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue, had the sixth round of senior-level economic and trade talks with U.S. trade representative and Treasury Secretary in Beijing. By earnestly implementing the consensus reached by China and U.S. heads in Argentina, both parties made in-depth exchange on technology transfer, intellectual property right protection, non-tariff barrier, service industry, agriculture, trade balance, implementation mechanism and other topics of common concern as well as issues concerned by China. China and the U.S. reached principal consensus on major issues and had specific discussion on MOU of bilateral economic and trade issues. According to both parties, they will work hard before the deadline, which was agreed earlier by heads of China and the U.S., to come to an agreement and will hold further talks in Washington this week.
