China’s First Hydrochloric Acid Based VRB Energy Storage Power Station Set Up
Recently, the first hydrochloric acid based Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRB) energy storage power station was built in Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone. Contracted by Energy Flow Storage Technology Co., Ltd., the scale for the first phase of the project is of 1MW/4MW·h, and the total planned scale is 10MW/40MW·h, marking the largest hydrochloric acid based VRB electrical storage station in the world, with its energy density increasing by 20% compared with the traditional sulfuric acid-based VRB, and its upper limit of operating temperature extending to 65℃.
