Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices free fall

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Mar 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min are RMB205,000-208,000/t (USD14.16-14.37/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P, down by RMB17,000/t (USD1.17/lb V) from last week. Considering the demand keeps weak, insiders believe prices of this material would free fall in the coming week.
A producer in South China quotes ammonium metavanadate 98%min at RMB210,000/t (USD14.51/lb V) and can sell at RMB208,000/t (USD14/37/lb V) for firm bids, down by 17,000/t (USD1.17/lb V) from last week. “I didn’t receive any inquiries in the past week. None of our clients would like to buy raw material at the moment as their products can also hardly to sell,” said the source. Their last deal was made early last week, when they sold 20t at RMB225,000/t (USD15.54/lb V). He believes prices of this material would drop by RMB10,000/t (USD0.69/lb V) in the coming week.
