Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Jan 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min increase to RMB223,000-226,000/t (USD15.34-15.54/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P, up by RMB3,000/t (USD0.21/lb V) from last week. Considering the Spring Festival is coming, most producers have halted production. Insiders believe prices would be firm in the coming two weeks.
A producer in South China quotes ammonium metavanadate 98%min at RMB230,000/t (USD15.82/lb V) at present, up by RMB5,000/t (USD0.34/lb V) from last week. “I just sold 10t at RMB226,000/t (USD15.54/lb V) this Monday to one of our regular clients. For firm bids, I can accept the same price level but would deliver after the Spring Festival,” said the source. He added, they will have the holiday from this Friday. He believe prices of this material would be firm in the coming two weeks.
