Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Feb 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min increase to RMB240,000-243,000/t (USD16.54-16.74/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P, up by RMB17,000/t (USD1.17/lb V) from early last week. Considering the supply keeps tight after the Spring Festival, insiders believe prices of this material would keep increasing in the coming week.
A producer in South China quotes ammonium metavanadate 98%min at RMB242,000/t (USD16.67/lb V) at present, up by RMB17,000/t (USD1.17/lb V) from early last week. “We just sold 30t at RMB240,000/t (USD16.54/lb V) early this week to one of our regular clients. I believe prices would keep increasing in the coming week as there are too many inquiries now,” said the source.
