Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 Feb 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min are RMB242,000-245,000/t (USD16.78-16.99/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P, up by RMB2,000/t (USD0.14/lb V) from late last week. Considering the supply keeps tight, insiders believe mainstream prices of this material would be firm in the coming week.
A producer in South China quotes ammonium metavanadate 98%min at RMB245,000/t (USD16.99/lb V) at present and can sell at RMB243,000/t (USD16.85/lb V) for orders more than 10 tons, up by RMB3,000/t (USD0.21/lb V) from late last week. “We are producing for the signed contract now and we can’t produce at full capacity for environmental protection policy,” said the source. Their last deal was made late last week, when they sold 10t at RMB240,000/t (USD16.64/lb V). Considering the supply keeps tight, he believes prices of this material would be firm in the coming week.
