Chinese vanadium nitride prices decrease

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 19 – Currently, mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride are RMB310,000-313,000/t (USD59.8-60.4/kg V) EXW D/A 180 days, down by RMB10,000/t (USD1.9/kg V) from last week. In order to promote sales, producers have to drop their quotation. Insiders believe prices of this material would keep dropping in the coming week.
A producer in South China quotes vanadium nitride at RMB312,000/t (USD60.2/kg V) EXW D/A 180 days and can sell at RMB310,000/t (USD59.8/kg V) for firm bids at present, down by RMB10,000/t (USD1.9/kg V) from last week. “We didn’t receive any inquiries in the past week and in order to promote sales, we would like to drop our quotation,” said the source. Their last deal was made two weeks ago, when they sold 20t at RMB340,000/t (USD65.6/kg V). Considering the demand keeps weak, he believes prices of this material would drop by RMB10,000/t (USD1.9/kg V) again in the coming week.
