Chinese vanadium nitride prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Jan 19 – Currently, mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride increase to RMB337,000-340,000/t (USD65.01-65.59/kg V) EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB5,000/t (USD0.96/kg V) from two weeks ago. Most steel mills have completed the purchase before the Spring Festival and the market keeps quiet at the moment. Insiders believe prices of this material would be firm in the coming two weeks.

A producer in Northwest China quotes vanadium nitride at RMB340,000/t (USD65.59/kg V) at present, up by RMB5,000/t (USD0.96/kg V) from two weeks ago. “We are producing for the signed contract now and we will have a holiday from this Sunday. We won’t accept orders for immediate shipment before the Spring Festival,” said the source. He believes prices would be firm in the coming two weeks.
