Chinese vanadium nitride prices increase

BEIJINGl) 16 Jan 19 – Currently, mainstream prices of Chinese vanadium nitride increase to RMB332,000-335,000/t (USD63.84-64.42/kg V) EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB15,000/t (USD2.88/kg V) from early last week. Considering most steel mills will build raw material inventory in January, most insiders are optimistic and believe prices would be firm in the coming week.
A producer in South China quotes vanadium nitride at RMB330,000/t (USD63.46/kg V) EXW D/P at present, up by RMB10,000/t (USD1.92/kg V) from last week. “I received much more inquiries than before and I believe prices would be firm before Spring Festival. For firm bids, I can at most accept a counteroffer of RMB2,000/t (USD0.38/kg V) at the moment,” said the source. Their last deal was made early last week, when they sold 10t at RMB317,000/t (USD60.96/kg V).
