Chinese vanadium nitride prices up slowly

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Oct 18 – Mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium nitride stand at RMB800,000-803,000/t (USD149.71-150.27/kg V) Inc-VAT EXW D/A six months at present, up by RMB3,000/t (USD0.56/kg V) from early this week. As the prices rose too fast previously, the market saw limited bulk orders. As more and more market participants are afraid of the price increase, Chinese vanadium nitride prices are expected to be under adjustment.
A trader in South China claimed that the lowest quotation for vanadium nitride they receive from suppliers is RMB800,000/t (USD149.71/kg V) at present, in line with early this week. He noted, “The rapid of the increase of vanadium nitride prices slows down currently, and we purchased 20t of the material at RMB800,000/t (USD149.71/kg V) early this week.” The source thought that prices for Chinese vanadium nitride would not keep rising all the time, and he predicted the prices would be stable in the following week supported by the high prices for raw materials.
