Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy prices firm

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Aug 18 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy stand at RMB417,000-420,000/t (USD78.69-79.25/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A six months, in line with last week. Rare steel mills opened biddings in mid-August and steel mills that completed biddings all purchased at high levels of mainstream prices, which supported the stable price trend of Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy.

A producer in South China quotes RMB420,000/t (USD79.25/kg V) Inc-VAT EXW D/A six months for vanadium-nitrogen alloy at present, unchanged from last week. He noted, “We are mainly carrying out concluded orders of steel mills now and have no stocks in hand. For new orders, we will increase output immediately and deliver within two weeks at the earliest. Our price for concluded orders of steel mills is RMB420,000/t (USD79.25/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A six months, which is also our bottom line.” They last sold 60t of vanadium-nitrogen alloy at RMB420,000/t (USD79.25/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A six months in early August, which will be delivered before end of this month. He predicted that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy would remain stable in the coming week.
