BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Mar 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min are RMB232,000-235,000/t (USD16.01-16.22/lb V) EXW D/A 180 days, down by RMB8,000/t (USD0.55/lb V) from late last week. A consumer in Northwest China claimed that no vanadium pentoxide flake producers offer quotation to them at the moment. He said, “Raw material producers stop selling and want to prevent the dropping trend but no use. The demand of downstream market keeps weak and our quote for vanadium nitride has droped to RMB345,000/t (USD66.78/kg V) EXW D/A 180 days, down by RMB25,000/t (USD4.84/kg V)from last week. ” He added, they have no plan to make purchase for raw material either now. He believes prices of Chines vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min would drop to RMB230,000/t (USD15.87/lb V) in the coming week.
