Chinese vanadium pentoxide flake prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Jan 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min are RMB215,000-218,000/t (USD14.74-14.94/lb V) EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB5,000/t (USD0.34/lb V) from late last week. Considering the bidding prices of downstream FeV and VN increased, insiders believe prices of this raw material would keep firm in the coming week.

A consumer in South China revealed the quote for vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min they received from one of their regular suppliers is RMB218,000/t (USD14.94/lb V) this Tuesday, up by RMB8,000/t (USD0.55/lb V) from last week. “We just bought 30t at RMB215,000/t (USD14.74/lb V) this Tuesday. We mainly produce vanadium nitride and our quote for this material stands at RMB330,000/t (USD63.46/kg V) EXW D/A 180 days, up by RMB13,000/t from the bottom early last week,” said the source. He believes prices of vanadium would be firm before Spring Festival.
