Chinese vanadium pentoxide powder prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 Feb 19 – Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese vanadium pentoxide powder 98%min are RMB245,000-249,000/t (USD16.99-17.27/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P, up by RMB1,000/t (USD0.07/lb V) from late last week. Most producers are producing according to orders and the supply keeps tight. Insiders believe prices woule be firm in the coming week.
A producer in South China quotes vanadium pentoxide powder 98%min at RMB250,000/t (USD17.33/lb V) at present and can sell at RMB248,000/t (USD17.20/lb V) for orders of more than 5 tons, up by RMB1,000/t (USD0.07/lb V) from late last week. “We produce according to orders. I think our quote is reasonable as the purity of our product is 98.5%min, which is better than others,” said the source. He added, their last deal was made early last week, when they sold 5t at RMB245,000/t (USD16.99/lb V).
