Emergency Power Outage For Parts Of Zululand

ESKOM is implementing an emergency power outage in parts of the Zululand region on Wednesday to allow safe passage for an abnormal load from Richards Bay to Mandeni.

The outage will be in effect from 8am-1pm.

“The actual timeline per area cannot be confirmed, however, power will be restored as soon as the vehicle passes,” said Eskom in a statement.

“For safety reasons, customers are urged to treat all installations as live over the duration of the outage, and are advised not to approach any low-hanging conductors or fallen cables.”
