Energy Fuels Talks About Vanadium in North America

Date: Dec 4, 2018

Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX:EFR, NYSEMKT:UUUU) made an appearance at the 2018 New Orleans Investment conference last month. While there,  SNNLive caught up with Energy Fuels CEO Curtis Moore and asked him about their vanadium production plans and some key upcoming catalysts for the company.

Energy Fuels is the largest vanadium producer in the US and aims to be the only primary producer of vanadium in North America. The company is currently conducting a test-mining program at their La Sal Complex in Utah with the aim of putting it into production by the end of the year. The company will be conducting its testing at their White Mesa mill, which was designed to capture both vanadium and uranium and is the only mill of its kind able to do this in North America.

“The mill has produced 45 million pounds of vanadium in its history. So it has a long history of producing vanadium. We haven’t produced any vanadium since 2013, but we’re getting ready to go back into production and into processing it out of our tailings,” said Moore.
