Eskom Implements Load Reduction

Eskom has announced that the Lejweleputswa district in the Free State will experience load reduction to avoid network overload and damage to the infrastructure located in high-density areas.

The implementation of load reduction will start tomorrow (29 December) between 06:00-09:00.

Load reduction is to be implemented in certain parts of Maditshakane, within the Lejweleputswa district.

Eskom customers are encouraged to refrain from logging a fault during the allocated load reduction period.

Electricity users have also been warmed to treat all installations as live and dangerous.

Day-to-day updates will be issued to the media and on Eskom’s numerous social media platforms.
