Before the topic started, Zhong Jingguo, general manager of FerroAlloyNet International Business Department, gave the opening speech for the forum.

Then, Zhou Chen, director of the Chongyang County Bureau of Science, Technology and Economic Informatization, gave an opening speech.

The conference topic speech officially began. Firstly, Yang Caifu, senior chief engineer of the Central Iron and Steel Research Institute, was invited to bring “Rebar Trends in 2022 and Impact on Vanadium Demand”, he analyzed the vanadium market in China from the production of crude steel in 2021 and the quality analysis of hot-rolled ribbed steel bars. Immediately afterwards, Chen Donghui, deputy secretary-general of the Vanadium Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association, analyzed and interpreted the “Opportunities and Challenges of China’s Vanadium Market Development 2021-2022”, and looked forward to the future vanadium market from the analysis of vanadium industry and market online, downstream industries, and niobium and vanadium competition.

After a short coffee break, entered the forum section of this conference. This forum was hosted by Zhu Tingting, an analyst of FerroAlloyNet vanadium products, and invited Ran Jun, senior manager of marketing planning of Pangang Group Vanadium & Titanium Resources Co., Ltd., and Zhou Xueyu, director of Vanadium and Titanium Marketing Department of HBIS Chengde Vanadium Titanium New Materials Co., Ltd., Wang Zhou, director of Marketing Department of Sichuan Desheng Group Vanadium and Titanium Co., Ltd., and Chen Donghui, Deputy Secretary-General of Vanadium Branch of China Iron and Steel Industry Association, four guests in total.

This forum discusses the focus of the industry, including the production status of mainstream vanadium companies and short-term plans; after the epidemic has eased, the demand for vanadium products in the European and American markets; crude steel production restriction, and steel companies are facing new developments. What are the opportunities and challenges for the vanadium market in the future? Under the dual-carbon policy, the development and prospects of vanadium batteries and the forecast for the vanadium market in 2022.

At 14:00 in the afternoon, the topic continued. Firstly, Mr. Yuan Weimin, the representative of Russia’s Evraz Group in China, brought the “Analysis of Supply and Demand in Russia’s Vanadium Market in 2021 and Prospects for Future Trends” to gain an in-depth understanding of the development of vanadium products in foreign markets.

Tang Xiaozhong, Manager of Alloy Marketing Department of Angang International Trade Panzhihua Company, analyzed “Current Situation and Development of Vanadium-containing Pig Iron Production and Application”.

“Australia Yarrabubba and Gabanintha vanadium project progress and analysis of the prospects of the Australian vanadium market” shared by Mr. lan Prentice from Technology Metals Australia Ltd.

Mr. Vincent Algar from Australian Vanadium Ltd. Sharing the video “Introduction to the progress of Australian vanadium batteries and vanadium-related projects”.

Finally, Fu Xinyi, an analyst of FerroAlloyNet vanadium series, brought “Inventory of China’s vanadium series data in 2021”, which analyzed and interpreted the vanadium market in 2021 from price trends, output analysis, import and export data, and steel plant purchases in the first three quarters.
