Ferroniobium prices move up amid supply tightness

www.ferroalloynet.com: Amid vanadium market keeps soaring, the consumer demand for ferroniobium is increased sharply. As most ferroniobium is imported and the supply lacks of resilience, there are few spot cargoes of ferroniobium and the spot prices move up. At present, ferroniobium is trading in a range of 260000-285000 rmb/ton with tax and some traders quote at higher level. At the beginning of October, Citic Metal also incresaed prices to 200000-230000 rmb/ton with tax. Citic Metal supplied 3500 tons of ferroniobium in September, up 500 tons from August. CMOC, the importer of ferroniobium, also adjusted selling price today to 3350 rmb/dmtu, equal to 217800 rmb/ton with tax.
