In Brief: Ferro-Alloy Gets Kazahstan Patent For Vanadium Technology

Ferro-Alloy Resources Ltd – vanadium miner with operations in Kazakhstan – Receives patent for technology developed to produce electrolyhte for vanadium flow batteries directly from ammonium metavanadate, a form of vanadium from which vanadium pentoxide is made.
Company also signs agreement with Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology in Germany to test the electrolyte for battery purposes.
“Receiving the electrolyte technology patent is another endorsement of the FAR technical team’s capabilities,” said Chief Executive Officer Nick Bridgen.
