Indian Gurushree Would Start To Produce Ferrovanadium

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 May 22 – As a new ferrovanadium producer in India, Indian Gurushree Industries Co. would start to produce ferrovanadium 50%min from middle June. They use spent vanadium catalyst as raw material and could produce about 30tpm of ferrovanadium 50%min.

“We finished the whole production line construction and would start to put into use one month later,” said a source from this company. This company uses spent vanadium catalyst as raw material to produce vanadium pentoxide flake and then to produce ferrovanadium 50%min.

Located in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, this company’s designed production capacity stays at 1,200tpy. According to their production plan, they could produce about 15t of ferrovanadium 50%min in June and about 30t in July.

Currently, the mainstream prices of Indian ferrovanadium 50%min stand at INR1,600-1,630/kg (USD41.3-42.1/kg V) delivered D/P, down by about INR100/kg (USD2.6/kg V) from early last week. As the negative market mentality continues, insiders believe that the mainstream prices would move down to around INR1,500/kg (USD38.7/kg V) in the coming week.
