Japan’s Scrap Exports Fell By 23.5% In January

www.ferroalloynet.com:According to customs statistics, in January this year, Japan’s scrap iron exports reached 5,096 million tons, a decrease of 23.5% compared with 655,234 tons in the same period last year.
In a given month, Vietnam is the largest importer of Japanese scrap, importing 204,149 tons, a decrease of 4.2% year-on-year. Followed by South Korea and Taiwan, which imported 155,792 tons and 76,844 tons of waste, respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 43.5% and 7.7%.
At the same time, Japan’s scrap exports to Bangladesh dropped from 43,419 tons last year to 31,782 tons in January.
