Load shedding on hold until mid-January, says Eskom

Eskom says there will be a low probability of load shedding up until 13 January. This is because of reduced demand for electricity over the festive season.

Senior General Manager For Demand Management at Eskom, Andrew Etzinger explains how the power utility plans to achieve this.

Every aspect of the 9-point plan will be implemented during the course of the holiday season and these range from technical issues and getting the maintenance done as well as getting the new power stations to perform reliably.
