Russian ferrovanadium prices to go up

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Jul 18 – Russian ferrovanadium 50%min prices for contracts, which were signed in early July, are USD83.5-86.5/kg V T/T 100% down, rarely changed over the past week. However, as quotations for ferrovanadium 80%min in the European market increased sharply to USD79.0-80.0/kg V in the warehouse Rotterdam in the first half of July, prices for ferrovanadium 50%min in Russian market would go up obviously late this month for August.

A Russian ferrovanadium 50%min trader claimed they don’t receive the new quotation for the material at present. But as the quotation for ferrovanadium 80%min in Europe has increased from USD75.0/kg V to about USD80.0/kg V in the warehouse Rotterdam over the past two weeks, the price for ferrovanadium 50%min in Russian market from their suppliers would also rise late this month. They ordered about 10t of the material at about USD83.2/kg V at the end of June from a local producer for July, but they have not received the material so far this month. They only received about 10t of the material last week, which were ordered at about USD78.5/kg V in early June.
