Steel mills increased steel price, pressured by vanadium market

www.ferroalloynet.com: Vanadium-nitrogen prices are closing to 800000 rmb/ton and the bidding prices sit at about 780000 rmb/ton. Underpinned by high price of vanadium, many steel mill incresaed some prices of steel yesterday. According to market sources, Xicheng Steel, Ma Steel, Shiheng Special Steel, Shandong Xiwang and Laiwu Steel increased rebar prices by 20 rmb/ton, Changjiang Steel and Jiyuan Steel increased by 30 rmb/ton, and Fangda Special Steel increased by 40 rmb/ton. And the prices of steel with other specifications are increased at different extent. CITIC Pacific also announced the price increase of 1000 rmb/ton for every 1% V content in vanadium containing steel.
