Vanadium Consumption Analysis In August 2020
www.ferroalloynet.com: According to the incomplete statistics, the production of vanadium pentoxide in the vanadium market is about 10,891 tons in August 2020, including 10,216 tons of V2O5 flake and 675 tons of V2O5 powder. The production of ferrovanadium and VN alloy is 3450 tons and 5670 tons, respectively.

According to the calculation in the figure, the output of ferrovanadium was 3450 tons, among which ferrovanadium80 was about 930 tons, thus the total consumption of V2O5 flake from ferrovanadium production should be about 3807 tons. The conversion of 5670 tons of VN alloy into V2O5 flake was about 8028 tons, and the total consumption of vanadium pentoxide by ferrovanadium and VN alloy was about 11835 tons.
In Augst, part of the export order in the international market, together with the long-term agreement order, it is expected to be about 250 tons. The arrival volume of imported V2O5 flake, ferrovanadium50 and ferrovanadium80 in August is expected to be about 1200 tons(converted into V2O5 flake), and the total market supply is about 12091 tons (converted into V2O5 98%) and the total market consumption was about 12085 tons. While the calculated supply of 12091 tons do not include the import volume of ammonium metavanadate and quantity of ammonium metavanadate self-processed products purchased by domestic vanadium alloy factories. In August, the market was oversupply.
