www.ferroalloynet.com: According to incomplete statistics from ferroalloynet, the output of vanadium pentoxide in vanadium market in October 2019 was about 9,255 tons, including 8,480 tons of vanadium pentoxide flake and 775 tons of vanadium pentoxide powder. Ferrovanadium output was 3,350 tons, while vanadium-nitrogen output was 4,785 tons.

According to the figure, 3,350 tons of ferrovanadium (about 950 tons of ferrovanadium 80#) should consume 3,920 tons of V2O5 flake, and 4,785 tons of vanadium-nitrogen should consume 6,776 tons of V2O5, total need 11,696 tons of V2O5. In October, some export orders in the international market, together with long-term orders, are expected to be about 300 tons, 460 tons of V2O5 flake have arrived at the port in the import market, of which about 50 tons is 80# ferrovanadium, thus the total consumption of vanadium pentoxide is approximate 10,206 tons. Market gap is about 951 tons of V2O5, some ammonium metavanadate and ammonium polyvanadate can offset the amount of vanadium pentoxide. The basic supply and demand in China has been saturated. With the reduction of the downstream production of ferrovanadium and vanadium-nitrogen alloy factories, if there is no production reduction in upstream raw materials factories and more imported vanadium resources, the domestic vanadium market will face a serious situation of oversupply.
